ICAS Maths Competition

In late Term 3, 37 students participated in the ICAS Mathematics Competition, which is facilitated by the University of NSW. Thomas Melville (Year 7) was successful in obtaining a High Distinction, placing him in the top 1% of students who participated in the competition. Four students obtained Distinctions; Blake Hutchinson and Oscar Krogh (Year 8), Eoin Shepherd and Angeelena Tijo. Credits were achieved by Allyza Baga, Edward Bates, Dante Reverr, Kerwin Richards and Charmaine Smith (Year 7); Jack Salvestrin (Year 8), Joseph Melville & Kilian Apen (Year 9). Caitlin Downey (Year 9), Caitlin Jackson and Cameron Keys (Year 8), also received Certificates of Merit, placing them in the top half of the Australia-wide cohort. All students who entered this competition benefited from the experience and we encourage all students to consider entering in 2020.
