LIBRARY NEWS

Here we are in the final week of Term 3, getting ready for the holidays. The weather is starting to improve which makes everyone feel better, after what has been a very long, cold winter.

Recently, I returned from a holiday in Europe with my family, we all had the most wonderful time. We visited so many beautiful, historic places and also visited my family in France, that I haven’t seen for 38 years. We had a bit of fun with our photos and I have included a few for you to laugh at, enjoy.

While I was away, the library was beautifully maintained by 2 special helpers. Emily (parent of Finn 2N, Nicholas 5/6M) and Glennys (parent of Liam 3/4D , David 5/6H). I would like to give a big thank you to them both for all their help. It was appreciated by all the staff and students.

Scholastic Book Fair

Next term we will be bringing you The Scholastic Book Fair. This is traditionally held in August, but this year it is taking place from Monday 22nd October to Thursday 26th October. There is a brochure about the Book Fair in this newsletter, and we are requesting volunteers to help with the Fair. Generally the sessions only go for an hour or so, if you can spare an hour, either in the morning or the afternoon, please let me know so we can put a roster together. You can either call the school on 9551 1727 and leave a message, or send me an email at hill.lucie.l@edumail.vic.gov.au

You will see some new Fiction books that I have included for you. These will be on the shelves and ready for borrowing next term.

Wishing you all a safe and happy break.
