School Community

Open Day

On Wednesday 15th March, Galilee held its Open Day for 2017. We welcomed new families into our school to experience the learning and interactions that occurs in the Galilee community. We also had some current parents who have Preps attending in 2018.

The Year Fives and Sixes took parents and children on a tour of the school. We had great feedback from those on the tour and we thank the Year Fives and Sixes for helping us on the day. We would also like to thank the Year Five and Six teachers, Miss Hart and Mr Coaley, for helping prepare the students, we know how busy the last few weeks have been!

The Class Representatives also put on a morning tea for those attending the Open Day. We greatly appreciate your help and for being there to chat and answer questions.

Parent Helper Roster

This week a note was sent home with a parent helper roster. If you have a current Children Check, have completed the classroom helper course and would like to volunteer some time at the school, please fill the form out and return to your classroom teacher no later than Monday 27th March. Parent Helpers will start Week 2, Term 2.

Ride2School Day

Tuesday the 28th of March is Ride2School Day. Students will be able to ride/scoot/skate to school and be put into a draw for a class prize. There will be a prize for the best decorated bike/scooter/skateboard.

Be safe and make sure to wear a helmet and walk while crossing roads.

Fresh fruit will be provided in the morning.

We hope to see very few cars on the day. You are also allowed to walk or take public transport.

We hope that everyone has a healthy and safe Ride2School Day.
