ICT e-Learning

How Lucky Are We??

Our technology is now being used throughout Galilee in such a variety of different ways. In the past few weeks, I have seen classes using their televisions to share projects and presentations; using their new Chromebooks to research questions for STEAM and using iPads to create movies to share at assembly. Although, I think the Year Six students might be using a bit too much technology, as seen in these photos:

We are so lucky to have access to all of these fantastic learning tools and I'm looking forward to working with each class through the year.

Charging Trolleys

Over the past few months, Galilee have purchased new charging trolleys. These trolleys charge our devices (iPads and Chromebooks) while keeping them safely stored when not in use.

A charging trolley has been placed on the middle level outside the Year Three classrooms. This is for devices used by Grades One, Two and Three. Trolleys have also been placed outside the Year Four, Five and Six classrooms on the top level.

Googling with Year Four

I was very excited to work with 4G and 4R and go through our Google Applications. We setup our Google Drives and started researching the First Fleet. We finished up the day by sharing our work with Miss Giles and Miss Romios. We also setup bookmarks to our most used websites such as Stile, Google Drive and Mathletics. A very big thank you to the Year Four students for inviting me into their classrooms and making me feel so welcome!

ICT Policies

A friendly reminder that students cannot use technology at Galilee until their ICT policy has been returned to either Mr Coaley or Mr Martello. Students who have not returned their policy will be sent home a second copy early next week.

Congratulations to 5O who won the "Prompt Policy Providers" award, being the first class to return their policies to Miss Otte. I hoped they enjoyed their reward!
