Year 7 2020

Welcome to secondary College

The new Year 7s have had a successful start to high school. During the first week they braved the campus grounds with the help of their Year 11 peer support mentors and Homeroom teachers. The students have already tried many new subjects, mastered the use of their lockers and made new friends.

Week Two revolved around ensuring students were settling in well. Parents and guardians attended the New Parent Seminar, giving them the opportunity to learn about College life, services and events. Parents and Guardians were able to meet with Heads of House, the Leadership team and their child’s Homeroom teacher.

One of the highlights so far was the lunch shared by Year 7s and their mentors, followed by games, and a visit by the local paper which wrote an article about our transition program.

Upcoming events to look forward to include the Community Mass this weekend, Activity Day, Maths Incursion and the Year 7 Student Representative Council social event. Parents and guardians are expected to attend the Community Mass along with their child. Students will receive more information on the upcoming events in later weeks.
