Grade 1 Students 

1A - Miss Tabb

In 1A we have been practising the strategy of identifying and discussing the story elements of a text. Last week we did this with a partner during ‘Read to Self’ where we read our story to our partner then discussed the story elements (characters, setting, problem and solution). We love doing "Read to Someone"!

In gardening we have been rotating around different activities. Here is Casper watering the garden as he was part of the watering group last week. We have also been collecting snails, planting seeds and collecting seeds to replant. A highlight has been counting the snails we have collected!

1B - Miss Wong

After practicing our Sound Waves chants and actions and completing the brainstorming in the classroom, 1B were able to complete the Sound Waves unit outside on the tiger turf! 

1C - Mr K

1C have been working on a Rainbow Fish writing piece that relates to our Inquiry Unit of School Values. We read how the Rainbow Fish shared his scales and made everyone happy.
