Junior school news
As we started week 4 we entered another period of remote learning. The Junior School students took this in their stride and adapted to this very well. Over the last few days the Junior School Team have received a lot of positive feedback from year 7 and 8 teachers. Some of the feedback was how impressed the teachers have been with students managing the transfer to online learning, navigating new technologies, being punctual to class, asking great questions and showing engagement in their lessons.
Year 7 Parent information night
It was great to see so many attend the Year 7 Parent Information Night last week. This was the first opportunity for teachers and parents to meet on campus, learn about the year 7 experience and see where their daughters spend their school day.
Year 7 Hand Tree mural
All year 7 classes have traced around their hand and were instructed to write the following on each finger:
- On your thumb - your name
- On your pinky - Your Form group
- Your other three fingers - 3 words that describe yourself
The tree represents new beginnings for the newest students as they start their journey at MGSC and demonstrates the uniqueness and individuality that makes up this cohort.
Face masks
Now that masks are mandatory in Victoria, we are asking that you purchase a material mask for your daughter. We are currently providing disposable ones if students don't have one, however we are going through them at a very high rate.
