Year 7 Community Day

Year 7 have completed the first 4 weeks of secondary school and are starting to look right at home at Marian. They are navigating the school grounds with confidence. The first couple of weeks have seen them get into the College spirit at the swimming carnival and form new friendships both in and out of the classroom. They also fronted up to vaccinations and Best Start testing – not so much fun but managed admirably.

Last Friday Year 7 participated in their community day, the theme of which was “We are Gifted”. This was a chance for them to unwind with their homeroom, make new connections, enjoy a peer support session and take some time to reflect on the gifts they have in their lives and some goals for the future. I commend them for their enthusiasm and willingness to get involved.

A big thanks to the Homeroom team, Peer Support Leaders, Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Aventi for their input today.
