Premier's Reading Challenge
2022 Premier's Reading Challenge begins!
In exciting news, the 2022 Premier’s Reading Challenge began on Monday 28th February.
Students in Years 7-10 can now log into the PRC website to add books they have read to their Student Reading Record using their PRC account. Library staff will be visiting Year 7 English classes to give advice on this and get students started on this year’s reading journey.
The PRC co-ordinators are Mrs Green, Mrs Low, Mrs Fornasier and Mrs Hadi.
Students should contact them in the Library if they have questions about their PRC account, or for any general PRC questions that are not answered on the PRC website.
Personally signed letters from the Premier of NSW
As proof that the NSW Premier is really involved in his reading challenge, several students received personally signed letters from Premier Dominic Perrottet MP, in honour of what he called an “outstanding achievement” .
Students also received the 2021 Premier’s Reading Challenge Medal to honour their continuous completion (7 years) of the Challenge.
Here is Mrs Green photographed with the amazing Allegra Ng and Abbey-Jorja Maruan. The third recipient Portia Magallanes was unfortunately away for the photograph.
So, let's get started!
The Challenge for our students is to read 20 books to complete it! It’s a great time to also encourage siblings in primary school to complete it as well.

Our medal winners all completed the challenge as primary school students before coming to Cecil Hills High School.
Yours in Reading,
