School Swimming Carnival

Despite the rainy weather and restrictions in place, we had just over 150 students attend the very different looking swimming carnival. Year 12 were still able to attend the day and make the most of their very last swimming carnival for Cecil Hills High School.

Standout swimmers as usual were the Prasad trio of Michelle, Jayden and Brendan, Renaldo Ionita, Briarna Nile, Nikola Alavanja

Congratulations to all of the competitors that swam.

We are also very proud of the students' achievements at this week's zone carnival, despite the wet weather.

Congratulations Tijana

Last week Tijana Bozovic of Year 8 represented herself, the school and Bernera Zone at the Sydney South West Tennis Tournament at Campbelltown Tennis Centre.  It was an all day tournament and Tijana was the overall u/15s Champion moving her onto the State championship.

From the convenor: “Tijana displayed great sportsmanship and played great tennis throughout the tournament, going undefeated”.

This championship is taking place this week at Parramatta where Tijana will compete against other talented u/15s tennis players.

We wish Tijana all the very best for the tournament and hope that she comes back to us as the State champion!

All of these students will be or have competed over the coming weeks at the Sydney South West Area Championships for their various sports.

Over the next few weeks we will have a number of other students trialing for a spot in the Open Boys and Girls Football side and the Open Boys Touch Football team.

We wish all of our very talented students the best of luck!
