VET AWARDS 2021
Every Year the VET Program recognises students excelling in their chosen VET subject with the ‘VET Awards’. The awards are open to all students in our region. This year we had a number of VET Awards finalists in a range of areas. Each of the finalists went through a formal interview process and each subject area announced a winner.
Our VET Awards finalists and winners this year were:
School-Based Apprenticeship / Traineeship (SBAT) – Winner: Luke Dimovski (retail butchering)
School-Based Apprenticeship / Traineeship (SBAT) – Finalists: Lacey Rankin (agriculture), Hayden Trewick (mechanical), Johnathan Laird-Waters (agriculture), and Laura Budge (business: real estate)
Building and Construction – Winner: Elijah Foley
Building and Construction – Finalists: Jaxson Nihill, Amy Fitzgerald, Ben Morris, Brad Wakefield, Charlie Palmer, and Kody Lees
Kitchen Operations – Winner: Riley Gordon
Hair Salon Assistant – Winner: Samantha Holland
