COMPASS EVENTS AND COMPASS PAY

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Compass is a wonderful communication tool that is already being utilised at Woori Yallock Primary School by staff and parents.

We strongly encourage parents to utilise Compass, as this is our main form of communication with you, which will follow on to most secondary schools.

In Term 2, we have some exciting new features coming to your current Compass Account, Compass Events and Compass Pay. We are very excited to launch these sections of Compass, which will help streamline our events process.

Compass Events is a tool within Compass that allows us as a school to invite your child/ren to an incursion or excursion without sending home a physical paper notice.  You can give consent, complete medical information and enter notes within these events. 

Compass Pay is a tool that allows you to pay for incursions, excursions and camps online with a credit or debit card. 

What does this mean for you as parents? 

You will notice that your Compass account will have some different options, requests and features.

From the beginning of Term 2, notices, permission and payment for your child/ren to attend a school-based event (excursions, camps or incursion) will be sent to you via your current Compass account. 

You will receive all the information for the event, just like paper notices have done in the past, it will just be online through your Compass account, events section. 

You will then be able to give your consent/permission for the event and additionally provide any medical details or notes required for your child.

After giving permission, you will then be able to pay for the event using a credit or debit card. 

Paper notices will no longer be sent home unless required by the school. 

We have attached some information regarding both sections (Compass Pay and Compass Events) for you to look through, with instructions on how to set it up on your current Compass Account.  We are excited to open the Compass Events and Compass Pay sections within your Compass Account, and look forward to saving a few trees.
