Welcome Back Everyone!

 

Morning Study commences in C5 next Tuesday 8 February morning 7.30 am – 8.30 am. All students are very welcome to use the quiet space and seek guidance on their studies. This continues Week 2 - 9 of Term 1 and runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and  Thursday.

Maths Drop-In

Maths Drop-In Years 7-12

Maths drop-in is about to launch, commencing Week Three, Tuesday 15 February. The sessions will run each Tuesday and Thursday morning 7.40 am – 8.40 am in C1.

This is the ideal place where students can come and feel comfortable to ask questions, take time to study or nut out some challenging problems. Rewards are given, laughs are heard and words of encouragement are shared. Come along and be a part of the team in C1.

 

Maths Drop-In Years 5-6

Junior Maths Drop will launch on Friday 18 February. This session will run from 8.00 am - 8.40 am in The Learning Enrichment Room.

This will be an ideal place for extra revision or taking the time to get support if need. Come along and be part of the team.

Welcome back!

We are enjoying welcoming new and returning students into the library.  

The library services for 2022, include:

  • Quiet spaces for individual study and reading
  • Meeting spaces for group work
  • Green screens for multimedia works
  • Vibrant print and digital collection for curriculum studies as well as personal interests
  • Printing, photocopying and scanning
  • Events including our annual, Write a Book in a Day
  • Dedicated library staff to help students with their research, reading or printing enquiries

The library’s teaching programs support curriculum and classroom studies to develop students’ skills in research and reading. The reading program includes:

  • Fortnightly library lessons with a silent reading focus for Years 7 to 10
  • Reading challenges; the Premier’s Reading Challenge for Years 7-9 and the Edmund Rice Reading Challenge for Year 10.     
  • A reading ecology 
  • Book promotions and author visits.

Students’ research skills are developed in collaboration with classroom teachers on research assignments. A suite of high quality eResources support research tasks and can be accessed via the Library’s CANVAS page including the library catalogue (pictured).

Science Club

Science Club is presently on hold.  As we assess the present COVID-19 situation, we look forward to resuming in the near future.
