Opening School Mass

Our Opening School Mass will be held on Friday the 25th of March at 9 am. We will bless and commission our School Captains, Charlie and Winter, and Mini Vinnies Team. At the time of publishing this newsletter, the current COVID restrictions prevent us from inviting any visitors to the Mass, including parents and grandparents. We hope that this will change and we will send out an invitation through COMPASS and our Facebook page should this change.

Parish Visit 

Chris Da Silva, Director of Mission & Evangelisation Catholic Diocese of Armidale, will visit our Parishes and join us at Mass this coming Sunday 27th Feb: Bingara 8 am and Warialda 10 am. If you have any questions, especially on the Synodality, please bring them forward.

 Shrove Tuesday 

We will celebrate Shrove Tuesday on  Tuesday the 1st of March. Our Year 6 captains will cook pancakes for us and serve these at recess.

Ash Wednesday

Fr Thaddeus will visit the school at 10:30 am on Wednesday the 2nd of March to distribute the Ash Wednesday ashes to the children and staff. The eldest child in each family will take home a Project Compassion box in order to raise money for Caritas Australia.

Remembering Claire

The children and staff commemorated the first anniversary of Claire's passing with a reflective liturgy and flower laying ceremony. May she rest in peace. Amen.
