Interschool Sport at Koonung

Welcome back to another great year of sport at Koonung. We are very excited to be able to send teams out after a long break in 2021. A few reminders for Interschool Sport:

1. Check Compass regularly for information about team sign-ups.
2. Please ensure payment and consent is provided by the due date (at least 3 days prior to the event, otherwise it will result in the student being unable to attend the event)
3. If students decide to pull out of the event before the day, they MUST let either the teacher coaching the team OR Miss Prosenak know ASAP so that we can find another student as a replacement. If not, the team may not have enough players and be unable to go. 

Swimming carnival 

Don’t forget the 2022 Koonung Swimming Carnival is being held on Thursday 17 February at Boroondara Sports Complex. Students can meet at the venue at 9.15am OR be transported by bus from school. If you are catching the bus please provide consent on the Compass event and arrive at school at normal time 8.30-8.40am. 

Dress up in your house colours OR the theme of Disney/Disney+ to win some highly sought after prizes including canteen vouchers!  You must wear your Koonung Sports Uniform if you are not dressing up. 

There will be competition swimming events, participation swimming events, diving, novelty events and basketball on the day. Sign up before the day or on the day, everyone welcome. 

The canteen will be available for purchase of food & drinks or bring your own lunch/snacks. Masks are required in the Basketball Stadium and in the canteen area. Please make sure to bring yours along as we will only have limited spares. Unfortunately, we are unable to have parent spectators due to Covid restrictions.
