2022 Arts Captains
Hi everyone! My name is Siyi, or you can call me Lucy. I am thrilled to be one of your Art captains this year. The most common impression others have of me is caring and friendly. I love art as it allows me to release stress, express my thoughts and improve my understanding of the world. Many people are very humble and say that they are not good at art but I believe that each of you is an artist, just some are hidden. I wish through collaborations with the captains and you all, we can create an inclusive, fun and inspiring art environment here. As a former transferred international student, I understand sometimes making friends could be difficult. Therefore, my goal is to allow activities around art to become a bridge connecting people together, and I am open to all ideas and opinions that would help to achieve this.
Hello everyone! I'm Zoe and I am one of the Art Captains this year. I'm an easy going and social person, and I like being able to create a fun environment as well as meeting new people. As an Art Captain, I would love to collaborate with the younger year levels, to either inspire or help them out in any way possible. I want to create a safe and friendly environment where students can have fun and express themselves through their art. Feel free to come up and say hi!
VCAA Season of Excellence
There are many moments as a teacher when you feel so very proud, especially when you witness students sharing your passion and reaching their full potential. You can imagine my immense joy when the following wonderful students informed me that their work had made the Top Designs 2022! Top Designs 2022 opens on Saturday 2 April 2022 at Melbourne Museum. The exhibition closes on Sunday 10 July 2022. Well done Tahlia (from my VCD class) and Jasmine (Media). Congratulations also to Media Teacher, Richard Leask!
