From the Principal
Welcome back to the 2022 school year. Although it has been a slightly different start with most students being at school, whilst other are in isolation, it has still been thoroughly enjoyable returning to Beaufort Primary School after my 14 months leave.
As part of the returning to school learning, the school-based Quality Beginnings program is being implemented across the school. This program sets up the students and staff for a successful school year by establishing classroom expectations and routines.
This year we will be looking for a number of new members for our School Council parent representative body. Currently we have two vacancies but our 2022 elections will also commence in a few weeks and a number of additional vacancies will open up. If you are interested to learn more about the importance of School Council and the role it plays in the school, please contact me.
We are expecting our second delivery of Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) this week. An email and text will be sent out when they arrive. Parents will be asked to identify whether they are collecting these from the office or whether they would like these sent home with the students.
For new families, and a reminder for others, the school newsletter is sent out every two weeks. The newsletter will contain important whole school information, as well as celebrations and year level news. The communication survey showed that over 90% of our parents were happy with this new style of newsletter, so we will continue to use an online platform to compile and distribute the newsletter in 2022. Upcoming dates will be regularly updated.
Breakfast Club will recommence this Friday 11th February. Students are welcome to have breakfast at school on this day. We offer cereal, toast, fruit and Milo. Breakfast Club runs from 8.30am till 8.50am and is held on the deck.
