Thrive Fund Committee

Seeking new members 

Dear School Community,

We are looking for a new member or members to join our Northcote High School Thrive committee of management.

In particular, in order to comply with ATO requirements for our tax deductible funds, we are looking for parents, carers or community members who are a member of a professional body having a code of ethics or rules of conduct or who otherwise meet the ATO definition of Responsible Person ( see TR 95/27 | Legal database (ato.gov.au). Our school’s ‘Empower Fund’ is a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Fund, which assists school community members experiencing financial hardship. This important function is also supported by a diverse, empathetic and friendly committee of management.

There are governance and privacy protocols in place to administer the fund and the committee of management workload is not onerous. We meet up to four times per year and otherwise consider out of cycle funding applications by way of circular communications.
