As part of the Year 9 Bushwhacked elective, students went on a 4-day Outdoor Education program to the Cathedral State Park , enjoying

spectacular scenery, native wildlife and crisp weather!

The focus of the program was for students to learn about their personal character strengths, as well as to develop their practical skills at camping.

Students were provided the opportunity to complete a hike of their choice as well as to spend a day rafting down the Goulburn River.

This camp also gave students opportunity to engage in a Conservation Session led by members of the Parks Victoria team,  which informed them about current conservation programs and

Throughout the program, students developed their independence and resilience, and exhibited strong leadership qualities. They were required to cook their own meals, figure out routes for their hike, and even to source their own water supply from the river for the cleaning station. Our Bushwhackers found the ability to overcome the many challenges  by working together as a class and completing tasks as a collective.

We look forward to seeing students evolve their character strengths even further during our upcoming program in Term 2.
