Principal's Report
We have had a great start to 2022, we are really impressed with how well the students have settled into their learning. It's great that we've had such a high attendance rate and seeing students in their classrooms at 8:50am ready for learning is pleasing.
Welcome to our first newsletter for 2022. This newsletter will be posted on Compass monthly and will include a community report from each community and specialist classes about what the students are learning. The newsletter will also include updates from the Administration team and our Leaders.
It's great that we are able to do more things as a school community than we have in the past few years. Last week we had our school photos and today we celebrated our first Carnevale day! It was great to see all the students and staff joining in by dressing up in a variety of colours, costumes and traditional clothes. It really highlighted our that we are One Community, Smiling and Succeeding Together!
GOLDEN SUN MOTH
The golden sun moth is an endangered moth that lives in our local area. On Waterview Boulevard, at Aitken Creek, there is a protected reserve for the golden sun moth. There are fence posts surrounding the reserve.
Our school logo is based on the golden sun moth.
Our communities are named after moths and butterflies.
Thanks everyone, for a great start to the year!
