District Tennis

On Friday March 3rd , some of the senior students from Good Shepherd went to Gladeswood tennis club with our sports' teacher Mr Mondon to compete in the District Inter School Tennis Tournament.

It started at 9:30 and we were ready to win our first match. There were separate courts for the male and female competitors. The students representing the school were Harrison, Jayden, Zach, Maria, Ilara and Annika. The boys played in eight matches each and the girls played in six. 

There were two groups of players and in the finals, the top two players in each group competed against one another before competing against the winner in the opposing group. 

Zach and Jayden both made it into the semi finals where they came face to face with each other. Jayden won the game and the grand final which means he will progress into the Division stage of the tournament.  

We all competed very well on the day and showed great sportsmanship. We had a wonderful day and Mr Mondon was very proud of our efforts.
