School Sports Day

On Monday the 6th March, Good Shepherd held their Sports Day. Students participated in different activities and competed against each other.

Some of the activities included relays and sprints. Additionally, each year level did some of their own novelty activities.

Foundation students did a Dress Up Relay and played Overball. Year 1 did an Egg and Spoon Race and played Overball and Underball. Year 2 did a Mixed Relay and played Captain Ball. Year 3 did a Soccer and Basketball Relay and played Tunnel Ball. Year 4 did an All Sports Relay and a Basketball Relay. Year 5 did the Waiter’s Race and an Obstacle Course. Year 6 played Basketball Shootout and Skittles.

It was a great opportunity to work together as a team and enjoy this event, which only happens once a year.

A special truck arrived and served ice cream to everyone during our break. The line was never ending. But it was all worth the wait because of how delicious the heavenly ice cream was.

After all of the activities we had a House Captain Relay. The Gold Captains won the relay.

Even though the other teams didn’t win, it was an amazing and memorable day for everyone here in the school and a great way to encourage others to develop great sportsmanship, try their best and enjoy themselves.

After everyone's effort and participation during these events, the winner was…GOLD HOUSE! Well Done to all of the Year 6 Sport’s Captains and students who participated throughout the day! It was fantastic to see everyone doing their best! What a fantastic day!
