Season of Lent
In the Catholic Church, we have now entered the season of Lent. Lent is the 40 days before Easter. Lent is an important period of reflection, growth, and new beginnings in the Christian calendar. Christians use this special time to show their devotion to their faith, draw closer to God, and prepare for Easter.
During Lent we are asked to do 3 things
Almsgiving – Doing kind deeds for other people
Fasting – Giving up something as a sign of repentance
Prayer – devote ourselves to prayer and reading Scripture.
Below are some ideas that you can do with your family during the season of Lent.
Sacraments 2023
First Eucharist (Year 4's): Saturday 20 May 6.00pm and Sunday 21 May 9am and 11am
Confirmation (Year 6's): Friday 25 August, 5pm and 7pm
Reconciliation (Year 3's): Friday 27 October
Worlds Greatest Shave
My niece Michelle has just been diagnosed with Leukaemia. She has two sons and her youngest son Hendrix has decided to have his head saved in support of research for a cure to Leukaemia. I have decided to support him and have my head shaved as well. On 17th March Hendrix and myself will have our heads shaved at St Teresa’s School in Albion, where Hendrix is in Grade Six. I invite you to make a donation. I’m hoping to raise at least $2,000. If you would like to support me, please follow these steps.
1. Go to World’s Greatest Shave.
2. Click on donate.
3. Type in the following: Hendrix and St Teresa’s fundraising support.
4.Then make your donation to either Hendrix or myself.
Thanking you for your support. Fr John

It was lovely to see so many families attend Mass this week. Here are some photos from the day.
