Safer Internet Day - Tuesday 7th February

Safer Internet Day was on Tuesday 7th February.  To bring awareness to this important day there was a display in the library relating to Cyber Safety and computers.  Teachers have been reading:

  • “The Internot” - Lizzy LOVES the Internet! But the Wi-Fi has... disappeared! What is Lizzy to do? With the help of a new friend and a curious kitty, Lizzy discovers the greatest app of all. From writer and Oscar-nominated film-maker Josh Lawson comes a story about the power of imagination.
  • “The Fabulous Friend Machine”. - Popcorn is, quite simply, the friendliest chicken at Fiddlesticks Farm! When she finds a Fabulous Friend Machine in the barn, she sets about making some brand new friends. But behind the screen of the Fabulous Friend Machine, maybe her new friends are not so friendly after all... A cautionary tale from the globally best-selling Nick Bland.

Library Lovers Day - Tuesday 14th February

Library Lovers Day is a celebration of things related to Libraries – books, activities, safe places, fun, learning, and exploration.  The Greenvale Primary School library has over 30,000 books in it ranging from picture books for all levels, fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, magazines and 5/6 fiction.  Please encourage your child to make the most of this wonderful resource and LOVE LIBRARIES.
