Senior School Photo Day

Please refer to the attached PDF for important information regarding the upcoming Senior School Photo Day, to be held on 3rd March, 2023:

 

Year 7 and Year 10 Vaccinations 

  • Our Vaccination Day for year 7 has been postponed to Term 2 for Monday May 29th 2023. 

If your child is in Year 7 or Year 10 this year, you can now provide online consent for their routine school vaccinations. 

 

The browser to use must be either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.   If you have any issues logging on, please call NSW Health on 4734 2022

 

In Year 7, students are offered free vaccines for diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa) and human papillomavirus (HPV). In Year 10, students are offered the meningococcal ACWY vaccine. 

 

Vaccination will only be provided at school if consent has been received. 

 

How to provide consent:

  1. To complete online consent for your child’s school vaccinations, visit: https://nswhealth.service-now.com/school 
  2. Follow the steps to log in to your existing ServiceNSW account. This is the same account you may already use to renew your driver’s licence. If you don’t have a ServiceNSW account, refer to ServiceNSW to create one. 
  3. Update or confirm your personal details in ServiceNSW as required. 
  4. Complete the School Vaccination Consent Form for your child/ren. You will need to:  
    1. Enter your child’s personal details 
    2. Provide the Medicare card details for you and your child  
    3. Read the linked Parent Information Sheet and privacy statement 
    4. Provide consent  

If you or your child do not have a Medicare card, consent can still be provided by requesting a paper-based consent form directly from your child’s school.

  • easily update your child’s details
  • receive SMS and/or email notifications when vaccinations are given 
  • faster upload of vaccination records to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).

If you child is running late, leaving early or will be absent

 

Below is the process to follow when your child is running late, leaving early or will be absent.

  • Please use Portal to put in your child’s absence and explanation. 
  • Please email: absencess@bmgs.nsw.edu.au
  • You may phone absences in on 47579022 (Student Reception) if you require your child to leave during the school day please put this in writing. 
  • Extended Leave Students who require more than 5 days of leave will head principal approval please find form on Portal and email seniorschool@bmgs.nsw.edu.au

 Where do I collect my child during the school day?

  • The person collecting the student must collect them from Student Reception and sign them out. 

What do I do if my child is sick at school?

  • Student must report to Sickbay for assessment/ monitoring.
  • Students must not contact parent/carer 
  • The school will then phone parent/carer to organised for someone to collect 
  • Collect from sickbay located in Senior School Reception 

 Where is Lost Property?

  • Have you placed your child’s name clearly in their school uniform, items, etc
  • Please come to Senior Student Reception if you have lost something.

Change of contact details?

Excursions 

  • Excursion Permissions are a legal requirement for school records and have gone Digital.  A written response by completion of forms are requirement for school records.
