International Women's Day Prayer

 (Wednesday 8th March)

God, whose love and goodness gathers us in:

we pray for women all over the world,

especially those challenged by poverty and other injustice.

Stir us to know women’s dignity.

Quieten us to listen to women’s voices.

Awaken us to see women’s realities.

Strengthen us to stand for women’s rights.

Fill us with hope to make a better future together.

Amen.

Lent is a Time to Grow and Change

Lent is a time to grow and change for Jesus. Jesus helps us to grow and change.

During Lent, we try to become better people. We think about everything Jesus told us. We try to do the things Jesus taught us to do.

During Lent, we think about the times we have made bad choices. We remember the times when we haven't cared for others. We think about the times when we haven't been the people Jesus wants us to be.

We say sorry to God. Then we think about making good choices. We think about how we can be caring. We try to be the people that God wants us to be.

Lent is a special time for doing this. During Lent, we try to grow and change. We try to become better people. It is never too late to change. That's what Lent is all about!
