SHROVE TUESDAY

Pancake day was a great success on Tuesday! We couldn’t have done it without the help of our wonderful families, so a huge thank you to the many parents who helped with preparing, cooking and serving the pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. It’s always such a pleasure to see the excitement in the children and the coming together of the parent community! Thank you to the Mora-Rind family for donating the milk.

Class Reps

We still require Class Representatives for each classroom. Thank you to those who have already volunteered. We still need volunteers from Years 3-6.

Every class at Christ Our Holy Redeemer Primary School has two parent class representative positions. We are asking parents to please volunteer for the role. The class representative role is very important to our school community. It provides support to the teachers and acts as a liaison between teachers and parents in the school.

The sign-up sheet is in the office foyer. If you would like to volunteer, but unable to come into school, please call the office and they will note your name on the sign-up sheet.

The role of the Class Representative is:

  • Be supportive of staff and the whole school ethos.
  • Invite parents to include their contact details (ask parents their preferred form of communication) for communication of class messages and events etc.
  • Contact new families on arrival and personally welcome them to the school community.
  • To organise opportunities for the parents in your child’s class to meet socially and help them get to the know each other.  Events might include family picnic or parent’s dinner.
  • Class representatives, and other class helpers, are respectful of everyone’s privacy and ensure that the confidentiality of teachers, students and parents is maintained at all times.

HOT DOG DAY

We will be holding a hot dog day on Wednesday 8th March.  A form was sent home today with payment options. $6 will include a donut for morning snack and a hot dog at lunch. If you would like to purchase an extra hotdog you can do so for an additional $3. Please return payment in an envelope marked with your child’s name and class, to the office by Tuesday 7th March. Alternatively you can make a payment via CDFpay using the QR code.

If you are able to assist on the day, please return the slip at the bottom of the hot dog form.

If you are able to assist, all of our volunteers are required hold a current Working With Children's Check and to have signed the COHR Child Safety Code of Conduct.

BUNNINGS SAUSAGE SIZZLE

Bunnings sausage sizzles are a great fundraising opportunity for the school and we are planning on holding one mid year. We are looking for a willing volunteer to help in the organisation of this. If you are interested, please speak to Sandra or Rachel in the office.
