Building Update
When it rains, it pours! There is more action on the building front! We were notified recently that MPS was eligible for a staff administration relocatable as we are very much under-entitled given our current staff profile. This relocatable will be situated near the current staff carpark and sit parallel to the tennis court. It will include extra staff toilets (this news was particularly welcomed!), some office spaces and an area that can facilitate small group sessions. Our instrumentalist teachers will also be able to use this space which will be a welcome change from the first aid room that Felix uses from time to time!
This relocatable will be 'dropped in' by crane (in 5 separate parts) next Friday, 10th March. You may recall that the oval was the main access point with the delivery of our previous relocatables. However, this will not to be the case with the delivery of this relocatable. On the day of Friday 10th, the entire staff car park will be inaccessible to allow the crane to manoeuvre. Alban Street will be managed by traffic controllers and at times, traffic will be diverted to allow access for trucks with wide loads. It will definitely be a day of inconvenience! We therefore ask for your patience and assistance. Where possible, can families please walk, scoot or cycle to school, or at the very least, park the car in an alternative location to avoid the immediate surrounds of the school. If all goes to plan, this inconvenience will be for one day only - and in actual fact, this one day construction of a building could be a record for building works in Montmorency!
IWD Assembly/New Assembly time
Friday, March 10th will also be the day we celebrate International Women's Day at our school assembly - please note the new assembly time of 2:45pm!

We will therefore hold a special assembly on the basketball courts commencing at 2:40pm. Parents and carers - you are more than welcome to come along! Our school captains and SRC leaders will be playing a special part in welcoming our guests on this morning.
Lily's Library Update
Our final fundraiser with all proceeds going towards Lily's Library was the Colour Run. Thank you to everyone that participated and raised funds! As it stands, we raised $18,907 and a further $1,961 from the BBQ. This brings the Lily's Library fundraising total to $52,460.35. Plans are well underway for a remodelled Library space which will be a beautiful tribute and legacy. Heartfelt thanks to everyone for your contribution and efforts.

Reflection
This weekend, I know many of us in the school community will take time to reflect on the 12 months since the passing of beautiful Lily. I am ever so grateful for the warmth, generosity and kindness within our MPS community and for the love, connection and sense of belonging that is evident in our lives, every day.
Janene
