Meet Matt

| Role: | My current role is the Operations and Business Manager where I oversee and manage the schools daily operations, finances and HR. Some people may remember me in my previous role as the IT Manager. |
| How long have you worked at Jackson? | 12 Years - When I first started at Jackson, I was working for DE and worked across 3 other local schools too. At the start of 2013, I came across to work at Jackson full time. |
| Where are you from? | I was born around the corner from Jackson School at Sunshine Hospital (I'm sure it looked very different back in 1991) and grew up in Bacchus Marsh for most of my early childhood, before moving to Keilor Downs. I currently live in Diggers Rest with my partner Haley. |
| Likes & Interests: | Some of my interest and likes are: · Spending time with my partner Haley · Socialising with my family and friends · Going out on the weekends and holidays on day trips around Victoria to see all the amazing places we have around the state · Travelling Overseas · Going bushwalking/hiking and seeing water falls · Going to the beach (I'm lucky that my in-laws live opposite a beach up in East Gippsland) · Cooking · Eat out at restaurants/cafes/pubs · Watching TV shows · Coming to work each day and both seeing our students strive to surpass their goals and be the best learners they can and working with my amazing colleagues |
| Dislikes: | I enjoy most things but if i had to chose one thing I really dislike is eating seafood |
| Favourite Sport: | Like others, I enjoy watching most sports but my favourite sports are football (AFL Go Bulldogs!!!) and cricket. |
| Favourite Music: | I really enjoy most kinds of music. Some of my favourite bands include Temper Trap, Mumford and Sons and Florist and the Machine. I also enjoy listening to live music and when other artists cover songs like Triple J's Like a Version or when bands play in venues |

| Role: | Social Worker (Child Safety Officer / Staff Wellbeing Officer) |
| How long have you worked at Jackson? | I joined Jackson School 5 years ago. Prior to that I had several jobs in the Social Work field, including Melbourne, Northern Territory and in and around London. I used to work for the Department of Education in the Student Support Services team (Brimbank-Melton). |
| Where are you from? | I am from Shepherds Bush in London and moved to the Northern Territory in 2011. I settled in Melbourne with my wife Linda in 2015 and now have a 7 year son Archie and 3 year old daughter Aisling. |
| Likes & Interests: | I have been fortunate enough to have travelled and lived in India for 2 years prior to settling in Australia. I am an avid music and live entertainment fan, and if the family allows me out I could seen at different music venues! |
| Dislikes: | I am a Vegetarian so I guess I dislike meat products. |
| Favourite Sport: | I attempt to be good at tennis and enjoy watching football (round ball variety). |
| Favourite Music: | I really love funk, soul and blues, or anything that can make me dance. |
