This week, Year 7 Humanities began studying a Civics & Citizenship unit titled 'Government and Democracy.' After learning about the Australian Constitution, students explored the democratic principle of 'Power-Sharing', and how the many groups that govern Australia share the decision-making to ensure fairness.
Students used resources from the Parliamentary Education Office to research and create posters about the following topics: separation of powers, role of the executive, roles of the houses of parliament and the judiciary. The following posters were completed by 7HUMC during Week 1 of Term 2, 2022.
