Lunch Orders - Gluten Free Options

From next week, Fresh Five will offer one meal each week as a gluten free option. The gluten free options for each of the four menus are as follows:

- Fried Rice (with tamari, in lieu of soy)

- Macaroni Bolognese using GF Pasta

- Ham Salad Wrap using GF Wrap

- GF Sausage Roll

GF options will be available as separate items when ordering, i.e. Macaroni Bolognese (containing gluten) or GF Macaroni Bolognese. The gluten free option will display a yellow gluten free image for each item. Please be careful to order the correct one for your child.

It is important to note that Fresh Five is not a gluten free kitchen and that although no ingredients containing gluten will be included in these orders, no traces of gluten can not be guaranteed. Please also note that gluten free menu items will be offered as a trial over the medium term. If orders are consistently low for these items they may not continue. 

Planning Week Next Week

Teachers will be released in their respective teams to plan for Term 2 next week. Students will have all of their specialist subjects on the same day to accommodate this, as follows:

Monday - Grade 5/6

Tuesday - Grade 1/2

Wednesday - Grade 3/4

Thursday - Prep

SGPS Social Worker - Andrea Bennett

Spring Gully Primary School offers individual and group social work services to its students, provided by Social Worker Andrea Bennett. Andrea works on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week. 

Students may wish to see Andrea for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to: concerns about self-esteem, coping skills, stress managements skills, peer interactions, anger management, divorce/separation/loss and social skills.

SGPS Speech Pathologist - Simone Fraser

In partnership with Bendigo Speech Works, our school has access to speech pathologist, Simone Fraser, each Tuesday. Simone's expertise will assist families and teachers in helping students who require additional support in developing their speech and language skills. In the first 8 weeks of the year, Simone has already been in very high demand.
