State Schools' Relief

Who is SSR? 

State Schools’ Relief is a not-for-profit organisation that works closely with all government schools across Victoria. Each year State Schools’ Relief provides assistance to families experiencing financial disadvantage with school uniforms and footwear. 

 

2022 Prep Uniform Package for CSEF recipients 

SSR provides a uniform package each year to all Prep families/carers eligible for CSEF funding. 

What’s in the package? The 2022 package contains the following items: 

1 x Rugby Top or Hooded / Windcheater or Jacket (Bomber/Polar Fleece) or Long Sleeve Polo 

1 x Track Pants or Trousers or Pants 

1 x Pair of Shoes (Lace Ups or T-Bars or Sneakers Skate or Sneakers Velcro)

 

Applications forms are in the office.

CSEF - Camp Sport Excursion Fund (Financial Assistance)

If any parent or carers is the holder of a current Healthcare Card/Pensioner Card please read the important information below.

 

 

Copies of the CSEF application form are available from the school office if you need one.

When submitting you CSEF application to the school office, please bring your current Healthcare/Pensioner Card with you.

Working With Children’s Check (WWCC) Reminder

Parents and carers are reminded that all adults require a current WWCC in order to volunteer in classrooms, canteen, attend camps and excursions. 

 

WWCC are valid for 5 years and are free for volunteers to apply for.  You can apply, renew and check your existing status by visiting https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/ .

 

We regularly  encourage volunteers in classrooms and on excursions (when we can). Even if it is not something you have previously considered, it can be useful to have and we encourage you to apply. 

 

Once your card arrives, bring it to the school office where the staff will take a copy and add you to our WWCC register.  

Student Absences

Absent all day?   

Parents to enter approval directly into compass by 9:15am (this can also be done in advance) OR phone the school office on 5443 7230.

 

Covid Absences

If your child is unable to attend school due to Covid for any reason, please inform the office in writing as soon as possible so the correct attendance can be recorded. The school must record these absences differently. Reasons are because they are isolating due to testing positive/are a close contact or you have made a personal choice to keep your child home because of medical risk or covid concerns for your family. 

 

Arriving late? 

When you arrive to school, the student must be signed IN at the school office by the parent/carer prior to going to class. This can not be done in advance or from the parent portal.

 

Leaving early?

During Covid-19 times, Parents are asked to call 5-10 minutes prior to picking up heir child to ensure they are ready and waiting in the office. 

Parent/Carers are asked not to go to the classrooms. 

 

Parent/Carers must sign the student OUT at the school office. This can not be done in advance or from the parent portal.

 

Please Note - Students must be signed in or out by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18 years. Students are not permitted to sign themselves in/out of school. 

Parent Contact Details

Have your contact details or circumstances changed? If so please let the office know in writing so we can update our records. This includes changes to emergency contacts, additional numbers to call if needed and any changes to employment details.

Medication at School Form

If your child requires medication to be administered during school hours, please complete this form and hand it to the Front Office with the required medication in it's original packaging.
