Principal's news

Over the past fortnight, I have had the privilege of attending both the Year 12 and

Year 5 Camps.

It was wonderful to see our students in an informal setting embracing the many adventure opportunities afforded to them at their respective camps, in particular, I enjoyed interacting and participating with our students and sharing this experience with them.

This term I have been enjoying my conversations with small groups of Year 12 students as they share their ambitions for the future, as well as Junior School cupcakes and chats with Years 1 and 3. My conversations reinforce my view that we have fantastic young people with great energy and personality who bring a smile to my face every single day.

I would like to thank all members of our community for your understanding and support pertaining to our School’s COVID-cautious approach this term. As a School, we have been most fortunate not to have significant staff absences compared to other schools. However, in accordance with media reports, the new Omicron Variant has a greater contagion rate and it is prudent for us to prepare for this accordingly.

COVID Update

There is no longer a requirement to provide a negative RAT when returning to school from seven-day isolation. This applies to those with COVID and to household contacts of people with COVID. The caveat to this is that no student should return to school whilst demonstrating COVID symptoms.

Household contacts are not subject to rolling isolation periods. The period of isolation begins with the first positive case in the household.

If there are subsequent positive cases in the household, the isolation end date for close contacts does not change.

Household contacts can return to school seven days after the first positive household contact. The caveat to this is that no student should return to school whilst demonstrating COVID symptoms.

Masks are now highly recommended for all students and are mandatory for students in years three to six and their teachers, when indoors.

Everyone is required to wear a mask on our school buses and on public transport.

Students must not attend school if they are unwell or during the seven day isolation period.

The above information is applicable to all school settings.

Greek Independence Day 2022

In accordance with the Organising Committee of the Greek Independence Day March, there will be no parade at the Shrine of Remembrance this year due to COVID considerations. A small delegation including myself, Chairman of the Board and a select group of students will represent our school at the Shrine of Remembrance for a short service, this Sunday, 20 March. On Friday 25 March, our Junior School students will be involved in a commemorative Assembly to mark this special occasion.
