Boost Program

Holy Saviour Primary School is committed to engaging students through learning which is differentiated and responds to the learning needs, interests and experiences of every student. It is for this reason that this year our BOOST Program has been designed to be flexible to the needs of students and teachers.

This term I have completed lots of individual testing as well as looking at the students' data in both literacy and maths. Through discussion with the teachers we have looked at how best we can support students who need extra support and those who need extension. I have also had the opportunity to team teach and support students needs at the exact moment of need.

This term some of our enrichment programs include:

• Grade 2 - Extension maths x2 a week
• Prep - One on one maths interview and reading analysis
• Grade 6 - Extension Maths Olympiad Program
• Grade 3 to 5 - Maths Games and Maths Explorer Problem solving
• Grade 1 - Reading Recovery x 3 a week
• Grade 1 - Oral language support program x 2 a week
• Grade 3 to 6 -  Macqlit support program x 2 a week
• Grade 3 to 6 - Maths Tutoring program x3 a week
• Grade 3 to 4 -  Literature Circle extension group
• Grade 3 to 5 - Colorful Semantics group x 2  a week

All these groups are flexible and each term students are tested and the programs are evaluated and tweaked according to the needs of our students and classrooms.
