 Sunday 6th March – First Sunday of Lent

Gospel: Luke 4: 1-13 – Jesus is tested.

Lead us, O God, as we enter the Lenten season.

 Give us the courage of Jesus, 

who did not hang back from confronting evil.

 Give us the dedication of Jesus, 

who was not diverted from preaching the Gospel. 

Give us the compassion of Jesus, 

who saw the suffering ones and was moved to help them. 

Give us the faithfulness of Jesus,

 who saw the cross but did not turn back.

 Amen

 Sacrament Dates

As mentioned in previous newsletters, this year we will be joining with the children and families at St Christopher’s to celebrate the Sacraments.

The Preparation/Reflection Day will be held on Wednesday 9th March 9:00-1:00pm at St Christopher’s and the Sacrament of Penance will be celebrated on Thursday 17th March at 7:00pm at St Christopher's church. 

If there are any children, not in Grade 3, (Catholic / Non-Catholic) who are interested in receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation this year, or if you have any further questions  please contact Mrs Jenni Kilkenny.

We will also be celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation in Grade 6 beginning this year. We understand that there will be a number of older children (Yr7-10) who have not been Confirmed, they will be able to join us this year and will be prepared for Confirmation through the Parish.
