Harmony Day - Monday 21st March
In celebration of Harmony Day on Monday 21st March, we are encouraging all children to come to school dressed in clothes representing their family's heritage. Clothing could be a national costume, or clothing in the country's ethnic colours. Grade 5 and 6 children from Hodgens house (red team) will be running special multicultural games during the day and children will have the opportunity to order a special "Aussie Themed" lunch. More details to follow.
Bakers Delight Hot Cross Buns Fundraiser
Bakers Delight Vermont South, would like to offer you the opportunity to purchase delicious freshly baked Hot Cross Buns in a variety of flavours (Traditional, Choc-Cherry, Apple & Cinnamon, Mocha, Fruitless and Choc Chip). For every six-pack of Hot Cross Buns you order, Bakers Delight Vermont South will give $1.50 back to the school.
Simply place your order via CDFpay by Monday 4th April and your order will be delivered to the school ready for collection on Thursday 7th April.
National Ride2School Day - Friday 25th March
National Ride2School Day, on Friday 25th March, is Australia’s biggest celebration of active travel and one of the best days on the school calendar. It is a day full of fun and colour, where students, teachers and parents discover the joy of riding and kick-start healthy habits for the future.
The grade 6 student leaders team will be collecting points to see which class is the most active. All students who ride or scoot to school, will receive 5 points for their class and the winning class will be taken out for a class game.
Before school an obstacle course will be created on the basketball courts for students to ride around and show off their skills on wheels, Bikes and scooters will then be parked behind the library in the bike stands.
Each team member that rides or scoots will receive an extra point for their house team and this will go to the mighty Holy Saviour Cup. Each term the winning team will receive a full hour of extra play and have lunch with your Principal Mr Steve Evans.
Sports Uniform
The new House tops are now available to purchase from PSW. Like any uniform change, there will be a “phasing in period” for the new sport polos, with the expectation that by the beginning of 2024, all children will be wearing the new polos. The current Sky-Blue polo and Senior School Sports Top are no longer available for purchase from PSW. All other uniform items remain the same.
Lunchtime Clubs
Lunchtime club activities are back this term! Children have the following choices during the week:
Nature & Construction Club - Tuesdays
Dance club (Prep - grade 3) - Wednesdays
Minecraft (grades 4 - 6) - Fridays
Art Club - TBA
Specialist Timetable
This year children will have specialist learning times on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. All students will have Library on Tuesdays and classes in PE, Mandarin and Performing Arts on Wednesdays. On Fridays all children will have a DigiTech class. Please refer to the below table for further details.
Please remember that ALL students will be required to wear their sports uniforms on Wednesdays. Children will also be required to wear their sports uniforms for Classroom games and sport on Thursdays for Prep - grade 2 and Fridays for grades 3 - 6.
This term 5/6 students will be required to wear their inter-school sports uniform on Fridays. More information on inter-school sports will be given once the Term 1 fixture has been finalised.

Waverley Cinema Movie Star Birthday Parties
Waverley Cinemas, located at the Pinewood Shopping Centre in Mount Waverley, has teamed up with Holy Saviour to offer Movie Star Birthday Parties (post-lockdown of course)!
This is one of the easiest ways to celebrate your child's special day. There are no deposits, no minimum numbers, no work. Just book your party and they will do the rest. Multi Purpose Hall Bookings
Please note that the Multi Purpose Hall is now available for hire on weekends or after 6pm during the school week. All bookings are to be made through the school office. A copy of the hire agreement can befound here, please feel free to share this information with those looking for spaces to hire.
Sun Smart!
As the weather starts to warm up it is timely to revisit ourSunSmart Policy. All students need to wear a hat at school for outside activities and come to school with sunscreen applied on exposed parts of the body. If your child has a skin sensitivity to sunscreen then please send an appropriate sunscreen product.
