From the Acting Principal

Firstly, I would like to wish all our families a safe and enjoyable break. Our students and staff have worked extremely hard this term and everyone deserves a well-earned rest.

This is our first full term onsite in two years. It has been great to see our students engaged back in their learning onsite and reconnecting with their peers in a way that is just not possible online. Many new friendships have been forged and others reconnected. I know everyone really is appreciative of this time. If your child is experiencing challenges in settling back into school, I would encourage you to reach out to the relevant Year Level Coordinators for support. We also have an extensive Wellbeing Team that is here to provide support if needed.

This term our students have been involved in Year 7 and 11 camps, interschool sport days, rehearsals for our musical Grease, a Year 8 Point and Be Proud program, PAT testing, Year 8 Cape Schanck excursion and a variety of excursions at the VCE level to engage our students in their learning. This would not be possible without the support and dedication of our teachers. Thank you for providing these opportunities for our students.

Open Night

The College’s 2022 Open Night will be held on Wednesday 27th April this year. This is one of the biggest evening events on our calendar and requires considerable preparation. As a result, there may be some disruption to classes on this day; however, every attempt will be made to keep these disruptions to a minimum. Although the evening is primarily for the information of prospective parents/guardians and students, please feel free to come along for Open Night as it’s a great opportunity to see some of the wonderful things our students achieve on a daily basis.

Early Dismissal and Term 2 Commencement

A reminder that, as stated on the college calendar, Friday 8th April is the last day of Term 1. Students will be dismissed at 2.30pm on this day.

Term 2 commences on Tuesday 26th April (Monday 25th April is Anzac Day).

See you in Term 2.
