Darwinia House

Hello everyone! As you all would know by now, we are Tanisha and Ali, the Darwinia House Captains for 2022. 

Firstly, we’d like to say that we have all kicked off to a great start this year, with our year 7s settled into their new school and the rest of our year levels back onsite after an incredible amount of time in remote learning. Now that we are back to onsite learning, students are more engaged with their learning as ever. We applaud you for overcoming the many obstacles and difficulties from the recent years, especially our senior students who have put in tremendous effort to their learning. 

During our leadership so far, most notably whilst giving our House Captain speeches, we received a great deal of support and respect which we are both thankful for. Recently, our school had our Swimming Carnival. The day was an absolute delight with Darwinia coming third overall. It may not be first place, but regardless it has been a great improvement from recent years and we congratulate all those who participated for the wonderful effort and results! In the future, we look forward to our House only improving further, until victory is in our hands! 

Next term, we hope that now that everyone has settled in, we’ll be able to hold many more House events and activities that we welcome all Darwinians to participate in. Our SRCs and House Leadership will be meeting much more regularly to discuss and plan these events, so do look forward to them in the future. 

Overall it has been an excellent start to the year, and we anticipate it will only get better and better from here onwards!
