In Junior Music classes, students get the opportunity to learn to play piano, guitar and drums.
In Music, the Year 8s have been assigned to do a solo, duet or group performance and have been practising playing a song of our choice or composing a piece of our own, on different instruments like the guitar, piano, and drums, so we can perform in front of our teacher. Before beginning to rehearse our chosen songs or our composed pieces, we start off the lesson by doing Aural training to identify what rhythms, intervals, and chords are being played on the piano. Every week, our teacher would introduce and teach a new interval or rhythm. While rehearsing, we have been using different methods to practise such as slow practice, chunking, others experience, repetition and timing. All these methods have helped us to improve our skills in playing our instrumental pieces. Next term, we are hoping to perform in front of an audience.

As we come close to the end of Term 1, our students in the Visual Arts have been working very hard to complete SACs and CATs. Our students have shown great strength and have been working diligently to complete all work.
Our senior students have begun to experience excursions to Top Screen and Top Arts, which is often a great way to show students what they are capable of producing in their senior years.
Our junior students have completed self-portraits, have gained skills and knowledge of past to present portraiture, and have understood how construction lines can support their drawings.
In Visual Communication, students have been working on Google designs and creating game design.
The Media students are creating exciting imagery and have learnt how to use the cameras and how to create special effects.
