P&C

New Committee

The 2022 committee consists of myself, Courtney Costen (President), Kathryn Moeller (Vice President), Sherry Fletcher (Treasurer), Eva Muir (Secretary), Gill Goodman (Canteen Coordinator), Gemma Luxton (Uniform Coordinator), Steph Jennings (Ground and Sustainability Coordinator), Katrina Vargas (Communications Coordinator). Thank you to everyone for volunteering your time to the P&C, we are forever grateful for your assistance.

Vacancies

We still have a couple of vacancies that we’d like to fill. If you feel that you could assist in any capacity please reach out, we’d love to have you on board.

Coordinators - we still have a couple of vacancies that we need to fill such as fundraising coordinator, grants coordinator and banking rep.

Room Reps - are still required for room 5 (PP), room 6 (PP/Yr1), room 7 (Yr4), Room 9 (Yr2), Room 12 (Yr1).

And of course, we’re always looking for new members!  The WGVPS Parents & Citizens Committee (P&C) is a group of volunteer parents/carers who work together to strengthen opportunities for students to learn and grow, build a community and promote the interests of our wonderful school. We need the P&C to operate our canteen, our uniform shop, fundraise, run social events and make decisions on how to spend our funds.  The P&C is vital to the school community!

P&C Financial Contributions to the School

Because of all the hard work from the outgoing P&C committee and your financial contributions throughout the year we were able to allocate $30,000 back to the school for the Nature Play. What an amazing achievement

The P&C have also agreed to fund the following requests from the school: Small individual whiteboards for students , wellbeing journals for year 5 and 6 students (a pilot programme that we hope will be successful for outgoing students as they prepare to transition to high school); a mobile book display stand for the Library; a trolley to assist teachers with moving play equipment out to the sandpit for lunchtime and recess.

If anyone has any ideas they would like to put forward for consideration please do so. You can email the P&C at wgvprimaryschoolpandc@gmail.com

Uniform Shop

The P&C WGVPS Uniform Service is run by volunteers:

Limited stock is held onsite and primarily reserved for new families. Items and sizes are subject to availability and purchases made at the shop may be restricted to 1 of any items per child (not for new families), depending on stock levels. It is therefore essential that you submit this order form twice a year (term 1 and term 3), as this is when we order directly from the suppliers.

The Winter & Faction Carnival order forms are to be returned by Week 9, Friday 1st April 2022. Please make sure you read all the information in the letter and on the form.

Revised opening hours for 2022 are as follows, Term 1:

  • Week 7, Monday 14 March 2:45pm - 3:15pm by appointment only
  • Week 9, Monday 28 March 2:45pm - 3:15pm by appointment only
