Performing Arts update
Our Performing Arts students have been hard at work with the following events and activities.
Sheltones
Recently the Sheltones assisted in the recording of band Kingswood’s upcoming album providing some backing vocals (lead singer of the band, Fergus Lineacre, is a Shelford staff member). Kingswood are off to Nashville in the next couple of weeks to master and finetune the album. We are looking forward to hearing the results later in the year!
Concert practice
Last week we held our first concert practice for the year. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to perform to a very supportive audience. I would like to thank all the students for their wonderful performances, as well as the instrumental staff who prepared them.
Senior School Play – Little Women
The cast list for the Senior School Play has just been announced. Thank you to all the students that auditioned. Rehearsals will be starting soon, under the direction of Mrs Erin Juers.
Scholars Concert
The 2022 Scholars Concert is on today, Wednesday 23 March. It is always a thoroughly enjoyable evening and this year will certainly not disappoint. There is also a performance of Ralph Hutgren’s Concert Trio by the staff woodwind trio as well.
Shelford Dance Company
Under the direction of Ms Kelsey Holden, the Shelford Dance Company is well underway. The students have been working hard on a variety of routines and dance styles, they are looking forward to their first performance opportunity in Term 2.
