Canteen Information

The canteen is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. We are excited about our new summer menu. All items are available at break 1 and break 2, besides Noodle Cups which are only available at break 1.

 

Please look carefully at the new menu, there has been some changes. 

We are now offering a weekly special, this will be noted in the newsletter every week, this special will cost $5.00

 

The canteen has always tried to keep costs down while maintaining a healthy choice of food, unfortunately, due to increase in prices from our suppliers, we have increased some of our items.

 

Thank you to all the Parents / Carers who have volunteered their time for next term, we know you will be rewarded with the smile on your child’s face when they see you in the canteen, we couldn’t do it with out you!

 

Remember if you have a spare hour or two around lunch time, Caroline would love your help, plus your children would enjoy seeing you, so contact the school or Caroline on 0438 626 924 or just drop in.

Canteen FAQ’s

 

What days are the canteen open?

The canteen is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday for all recess and lunch needs. All foods are available at both times.

 

How do I order from the canteen?

There are 2 ways you can order:

  1. You can order through ‘Flexischools’ on-line. This is our preferred method (saves our valuable volunteers time manually counting and sorting).
  2. You can put your name, class, order and money in a paper bag and place it in the canteen slot before 9am.

 

What food choices are there?

The canteen complies with the ‘Nutrition in Schools’ policy and promotes healthy eating. Our menu is coloured coded to help with choices.

How do I collect my order?

Recess orders can be collected from the canteen and lunch orders will be in baskets and taken to the classroom for eating. Frozen foods, drinks and snacks can be purchased from the canteen after that.

 

What if I forgot to order?

If you have your order, take it to the canteen ASAP and the Canteen Manager will try and fill the order or give you an alternative.

This must be done by 9.30am. If it is past this time you need to see the Office Ladies.

 

What if I don’t have any recess or lunch?

Tell either your teacher or the Office Ladies.

 

What if I didn’t get my order?

Sometimes mistakes happen, go directly to the canteen and line up at the window and the Canteen Manager will try and fill your order or give you an alternative.

 

Sometimes the canteen can ran out of an item. These will be marked ‘out of stock’ on ‘Flexischools’, however if you have placed an order through the canteen slot, the Canteen Manager will contact you and arrange an alternative, most items are priced the same or similar so it is easy to make a change.

 

How do I volunteer at the canteen?

This is simple, either ring Caroline on 0438 626 924, or visit her at the Canteen to arrange a day that suits you. Don’t forget if you can not commit to a full day, help is always appreciated around lunch time, 11.30 to 1.30.

 

How do I become involved in the canteen decisions?

The easiest way is to attend the P&C meetings and nominate to join /support the Canteen Committee, alternately you can phone Caroline on 0438 626 924 or leave a message at the front office and a member of the P&C will contact you.

You can set up an account online – it only takes a minute. 

  1. Register for Flexischools by visiting www.flexischools.com.au.  Add your student, their school and form class to get started.
  2. Top-Up your account via Visa, Mastercard, PayPal or direct deposit.
  3. Make an order by selecting from the range of options made available by your school and proceed to make payment for the order listed in your order pad. Canteen cut off time for orders is 9.30am.
  4. Review Orders by logging back in to your Flexischools account. You can set recurring orders, view transaction history or cancel orders via your Flexischools login.
