MAF - Ride for Fuel

One of our Year 8 students, Samuel McKee will be riding 600 km during the October school holidays to raise money for fuel for Mission Aviation Fellowship flights (MAF).  It's a family team (Team McKee) that includes Sam's father, James, who will also be riding and his mum Bronwyn as their support crew.  This is a great fundraiser to support.   Mission Aviation Fellowship is a not-for-profit team of aviation professionals providing air transport in places of deepest human need – remote places where flying is not a luxury, but a lifeline. For over 60 years, MAF has flown over jungles, mountains, swamps and deserts to bring thousands of men, women and children medical care, emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope.  If you'd like to support Team McKee please click  below for details.

TODAY - Students vs Alumni, Parents, Staff Footy Game.  Support the Grand Final Fever by coming to cheer for our teams as they play today.  There will also be a sausage sizzle and drinks available ($1 snags & $1 cans).  It will be a great match to see, and we hope the weather might be better than a match had back in 2017, which was played in torrential conditions!  As you can see, 'Bosker' will be kicked around on the field today!

Object Design Exhibition

Object Design is a University course which we have run at LCS for the last 5 years.  The Object Design Exhibition showcases student’s work  from colleges around Launceston in textiles, wood, metal and  composites.  This year students needed to explore the theme “Earthworks” and design their objects to reflect this theme in some way.  The Exhibition is free and is open to the public from the 27th of September until the 8th of October (closed weekends).  Come along an visit the exhibition to see some of the exciting work our students have made this year!
