Twilight Fair - SIGN UP CLOSING TODAY!
Our SIGN UP TO SERVE will be closing Friday 27th September. If any parents have NOT signed up by this date, they will be allocated to a stall at our upcoming fair during the holidays. Without your help we can't run such a large event at our school, so please SIGN UP TO SERVE on a stall ASAP - click HERE
Parents are reminded that as per the Parent Partnership Agreement signed upon enrolment, we need your help and a minimum of one hour from each parent to make our fair a success.
These stalls REALLY NEED YOUR HELP - BBQ & Salads, Face Painting, Oliebollen & Croquettes, Table Set up/Pack up and Side Show Alley.
Second Hand Clothes Store at our Fair
This year the Hope Thrift Shop (a social enterprise project connected to Teen Challenge) will be running our Second Hand Clothes Stall at our Twilight Fair. Donations of good quality second hand clothes can be brought to school from the beginning of Term 4 and dropped at the Education Support Unit Office. If you are not sure where this is - just pop into our main office and our staff will show you the way.
Anything on Wheels Show & "Daisy" at our Fair
Are you interested in seeing and even riding in a vintage 1926 Austin?
"Daisy", pictured left, will be at our Twilight Fair this year and there will be opportunities to have photos, check out what's under her hood as well as even having a ride. Don't miss this beautiful car at the fair!
There will also be an Anything of Wheels Show this year at our fair and any make or model of vehicle/bike etc, on wheels is invited to enter. There'll be prizes awarded for the Best in the Show and People's Choice. Stall items needed - Handmade & Cakes
Items are needed for our Handmade and Cake stalls at our fair this year. For more details see below and if you are keen to have a stall in our Handmade area please download the Handmade Stall Application Form below. It's a great area if you are crafty and well worth contributing to!
Twilight Fair - spread the word
In Term 4, on Friday 8th November from 5 - 8pm we have our main event for the year - our Twilight Fair. There is a huge range of stalls to visit as well as a great variety of food to try. Some of the highlights include the Handmade Stalls, our Second Hand Book Stall, Dutch Licorice, Minute to Win it, Rides as well as the large range of food stalls - Oliebollen and Croquettes are popular all evening and we have some great food vans also coming to visit. Spread the word so others in our community can attend - if you'd like to help do this with some posters or flyers, please contact our Community, Events & Marketing Coordinator Tanya Socorro on socorrot@lcs.tas.edu.au
P&F Treasurer needed in 2020
Our current Treasurer of the Parents & Friends Association, Barbara Knight, will be resigning from her role in mid 2020. Barbara has faithfully served our school community for many years and we've been extremely grateful for her wonderful guidance and wisdom. Thank you so much Barbara for all the time you have spent helping and supporting our school community - you have been a great blessing to us all!
As our Twilight Fair is coming up soon, this is an opportunity for someone in our school community to consider working along side Barbara, learning the ropes of what a Treasurer does before she steps down. This is especially needed given our Fair is supported each year by a well organised Finance area. We ask that you prayerfully consider if you can take on this important role in our P&F as it's a vital part of our P&F team.
