This Wednesday, September 2nd, marks the National Health and Physical Education (HPE) day for 2020. HPE Day is a nationwide initiative that highlights the importance of HPE in the Australian Curriculum, and it's influence on the learning and development of children.
I encourage you to view this attached flyer with your family and children, and attempt to tick off this list throughout the day. I will be using week 10 of our Term 3 program to celebrate this day further, and encourage work between siblings and cross-year levels
Our Physical Education Google site, despite some technical issues, has been a success amongst the students, with the accessibility of the weekly videos providing the students with a one-stop to get their lesson underway. Whilst it is constantly a work in progress, the aim is for this to be flowing and easily accessible to all students, ensuring that previous weeks activities are also visible.
A return to Home Online Learning has also allowed for the return of our online weekly challenges. Our 8 House Captains, Juliet & Keeley (Flinders), Clara and Sean (Bass), Thomas and Zoe (Cook) and, Veronica and Oliver (Burke) have worked hard throughout this time to create engaging challenges for the students to complete, in addition to their weekly Physical Education tasks.
Our term tally is included below for each challenge, since our last update earlier this term.
