Curriculum Matters

Year 9 and 11 subject lines for 2021 are currently being finalised. Thanks to parents and teachers who have engaged in conversations supporting students throughout the subject selection process. If any students and parents still have questions about subject choices and patterns of study, please continue to contact me.

Year 11 have their End of Preliminary Examinations starting on Monday 7th September. It is important for students to familiarise themselves with the exam requirements and exam timetable. Please note that students are only required at school when they have an exam, and classes resume on Monday 21st September. We will meet with all Year 11 students on Tuesday 1st September to clarify all exam requirements and procedures.

Year 10 Students will complete their Literacy, Numeracy and Writing HSC Minimum Standards Tests on Wednesday 2nd September. For more information to assist students in preparing for the Online Minimum Standards test click here

On Monday 31st August, Year 12 students will have completed their HSC Trial Examination. Over the coming weeks students will receive their results from their exams. It is important for students to take on board the constructive feedback provided by teachers and to reflect on what positive actions they can take before their final HSC exams.

Please read the following 2020 HSC Dates and Timetable for up to date information and timelines. Students will also be able to access their results at the same time via Students Online.

It is important NESA has accurate student contact details. Students should log into Students Online and check that their email addresses and mobile phone numbers are correct. As students will have left Kildare at the time their HSC results are released, they have been advised to change their email contact details to a personal email address.

In January 2021, eligible students will receive their HSC testamur in the post. They will also be able to download the testamur via their Students Online account.
