Lead Principal Message

Dear Kildare families, staff and friends,

Last week was a highly significant one for the College as the validation visit to complete the School Registration Process took place.

Every five years each school in NSW has to undergo a process of registration to ensure the school is compliant across the full range of fields within the education domain. This includes curriculum, learning and teaching, mission, health and safety, pastoral care, policies and procedures and so on. A great deal of work was done in preparation by the Kildare team, assisted by CEDWW staff, to ensure everything was and is in place.

I am pleased to advise you that the validation visit and the overall registration process was a success for our school. The panel commended the College for the high quality of the work done here and the manner in which it is done, highlighting the policies, practices and innovative initiatives which underpin our work. As well, recommendations were made for us to work on, thus ensuring we continued to improve and extend ourselves.

On behalf of the College I want to thank the staff who fulfilled our registration responsibilities. Thank you to Damian Quinn, Kel Woodhouse, Peter Hunt, Narelle Potts, Bobbie-Jo Mitchell, Jeff Guymer, the Leadership team, staff and Christie Scoble, who provided leadership and an excellent briefing to the panel during the visit.

Having experienced many school registrations over the years I know the feeling of relief and satisfaction the staff would be experiencing now.

I trust the parent body will take confidence from the outcomes and continue to support the staff as together we work for the students of Kildare.
