Ripples yearbook

Help us record the experiences of 2020

Dear NHS families,

We are currently collecting articles and images for the NHS Yearbook 'Ripples 2020'

With this year being unique in our school’s history, we are inviting students and families to help us record their 2020 experience of remote learning, and the impact COVID-19 has had on our community.

Please note not all articles and images will make the final cut but we will do our best to include as many as possible, to accurately reflect the remote learning experience of our students and families, as only they can tell it.

How to contribute

Please submit your articles and images via a ‘Ripples 2020’ folder we have set up on Dropbox.  We would like you to submit your articles and images as early as possible to assist us with the editing timeframe. The closing date for submissions is Friday 30 October at 4pm.

Guidelines for contributions

Text

1. No more than 300 words per article – talk to Jenny if you need more space

2. Student voice is preferred – make sure the student’s name is on the article or quote

3. Submit text in a Word document – file clearly named (family or activity)

4. Do not add photos to your article, you can upload jpegs at the same time using the same file name to match your word doc – see instructions below for images.

Images/photos

When adding images please keep in mind students’ privacy and submit appropriate content for a school yearbook.

1. We require good quality, well framed, clear photos.

2. Images should be jpeg files, at the highest resolution possible

3. Images should be labelled clearly, including the event/family name and using the same file name if there is an accompanying word docs

4. Separate jpegs from text - load them at the same time to Dropbox

Please contact JennyDiana or Nicole if you have questions regarding Ripples content.

We are looking forward to seeing your contributions.

Ripples cover photo competition

We are still looking for a cover photo for the 2020 edition. This provides a fantastic opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity by taking the winning 2020 Ripples cover image.

The Ripples Team are inviting all students to submit an original photograph they have taken that represents Northcote High School and relates to events in 2020.

The competition will close on the 5 October. The winning photograph will be chosen by a panel of judges. The winner will be acknowledged in Ripples 2020 for their cover image and will receive a prize. Other entries may also be used in sections of Ripples 2020.

The application form is attached below.
