CLASS AWARDS
Prep Sam McGuire	Determined Award - In Maths this week you were willing to try all the new activities with enthusiasm and determination. Even when you were unsure of the next step to take, you asked questions and kept going. It was great to see you put in so muc effort as we explored division. Well done Sam!
Junior K Joshua Wright	Determined Award - for Doing an outstanding job using the learning ladder in writing. You listened to feedback on your writing and worked really hard to revise your writing and improve it using the criteria on the learning ladder. You could see where you were at and where you needed to go next.
Junior S Leo Katsoulakis	Determined Award - for your super hard work during writing this week! Not only did you write a fabulous five page retell of Little Red Riding Hood, however, you also took it upon yourself to edit your work - a skill not even taught to you yet! I could see that you really wanted to achieve the three star success criteria and I am just so proud of you! Well Done Leo! Fantastic work!
Middle A Oscar Toohey Wrotny	Collaborative Award - for being a wonderful role model to the younger students during our science week rotations. You shared some interesting knowledge and allowed others to share their thinking and try different ways of working even when the experiment wasn’t going to plan. Well done Oscar!
Middle LT Caolan	Creative Award - for The very disgusting sandwich you created in writing. Yuck! You chose a lot of very interesting and gross ingredients. I was impressed with how you made your sandwich come to life with your brilliant 3D model of it and clear steps in how to make it. Well done!
Senior B Tommy Mayne	Curious Award - Tommy is always raising his hand and asking thoughtful questions. When completing his work, he consistently approaches me to gain clarification to ensure he is on the correct path. Tommy is always willing to edit his work to make it better. Well done!
Senior L All Senior L	Self-Aware Award - for being absolutely amazing yesterday at the Parade and Mercy College performance. You demonstrated that you were responsible and respectful members of St Joseph’s. You continued to prove that you were all self-aware students as you sat perfectly throughout the entire performance and participated when required. You are all awesome!

SPECIALIST CLASSES
LOTE Seniors	Collaborative Award - for showing brilliant team work when creating your day at school in China videos. You worked together to create your script, visualise your scenes and took turns filming making sure that everyone was included. Well done!
PE Class Name MLT	PROACTIVE LEARNER Award - for working collaboratively and being proactive during our Taekwondo sessions. You followed the instructions and you helped your partner when you worked with one You also showed great drive and displayed plenty of positive energy
STEM Students’names Joshua Wright Peter Moysis Liam Keogh Ari Rombolas Hamish Smith Biagio Minca Leo Katsoulakis	CREATIVE LEARNER Award - for winning our Junior School’s Design challenge, which was to build the longest and the strongest bridge with the use of only popsicle sticks and masking tape. You worked collaboratively by allowing others to have their input, you showed great creativity and determination, as well as demonstrating great team and negotiating skills.

Prep Lola Barker	Resilient Award - Lola has shown amazing resilience this week in all of her work. You participated in all of our activities and avoided distractions so you could focus on your learning. Miss Steph and I are so proud of your growth this term. Fantastic job Lola! Keep it up!
Junior K Sunny Do	Respectful Award - Being a considerate and courteous classmate. You can always be relied upon to follow instructions and treat others with respect. You are the greatest at keeping our classroom clean and tidy. I love the way you are so kind and caring towards the other students. We are lucky to have you in our class!
Junior S Chloe Webb	Respectful Award - for ALWAYS communicating with both staff and peers alike with the utmost respect and kindness. Both in class and on the yard, you are always helping others, doing the right thing and your caring and compassionate attitude doesn’t go unnoticed! Keep up being you Chloe!
Middle A Stella Cerantola	Respectful Award - for taking on feedback from teachers in both literacy and numeracy and being respectful in conversations to improve your learning. You are a fantastic classmate and a hardworking learner. Well done Stella.
Middle LT Miles McCrohan	Respectful Award -you have been a respectful member of our class and St Joseph’s community from day one. The way you speak to others, listen to others and follow expectations is excellent, and a wonderful example to everyone around you. You are such a peaceful and kind presence in our classroom!
Senior B Xavier Smith	Resilient Award - for completing his amazing “Book Week Artwork!” Xavier was concerned that he might not complete his work in time. He decided to put his head down and work really hard to complete his Indigenous Map and he succeeded! Well Done Xavier.
Senior L Heidi Burgess	Respectful Award - for continuing to be a respectful member of the seniors community and here at St Joey’s. You have been fabulous at lending a helping hand to any teacher or student who needs it. Well done, Heidi, on becoming such a fantastic leader of the school!
SPECIALISTS
PE Max Hall & Neve Morison	Determined Award - for showing great determination and perseverance when attempting to learn new Taekwondo skills and techniques. You listened to instructions politely and were considerate to others. You worked cooperatively with a partner and showed great enthusiasm and a willingness to apply yourself and learn.
STEM Class Name Junior K	Curious Award - for Solving coding related problems. As well as asking penetrating and inquisitive questions and making great observations during our lessons based on Code.org. You showed great curiosity about coding, you collaborated well and assisted others when required.
LOTE Juniors	Creative Award - for your impressive knowledge of all the colours in Chinese. This week's task: colour by number and a colour hunt you completed with ease. You didn’t need to ask me for help at all as you already knew the answers! Well done Juniors!
