Determined Award - In Maths this week you were willing to try all the new activities with enthusiasm and determination. Even when you were unsure of the next step to take, you asked questions and kept going. It was great to see you put in so muc effort as we explored division. Well done Sam!

Determined Award - for Doing an outstanding job using the learning ladder in writing. You listened to feedback on your writing and worked really hard to revise your writing and improve it using the criteria on the learning ladder. You could see where you were at and where you needed to go next.

Determined Award - for your super hard work during writing this week! Not only did you write a fabulous five page retell of Little Red Riding Hood, however, you also took it upon yourself to edit your work - a skill not even taught to you yet! I could see that you really wanted to achieve the three star success criteria and I am just so proud of you! Well Done Leo! Fantastic work!

Collaborative Award - for being a wonderful role model to the younger students during our science week rotations. You shared some interesting knowledge and allowed others to share their thinking and try different ways of working even when the experiment wasn’t going to plan. Well done Oscar!

Creative Award - for The very disgusting sandwich you created in writing. Yuck! You chose a lot of very interesting and gross ingredients. I was impressed with how you made your sandwich come to life with your brilliant 3D model of it and clear steps in how to make it. Well done!

Curious Award - Tommy is always raising his hand and asking thoughtful questions. When completing his work, he consistently approaches me to gain clarification to ensure he is on the correct path. Tommy is always willing to edit his work to make it better. Well done!

Self-Aware Award - for being absolutely amazing yesterday at the Parade and Mercy College performance. You demonstrated that you were responsible and respectful members of St Joseph’s. You continued to prove that you were all self-aware students as you sat perfectly throughout the entire performance and participated when required. You are all awesome!

Collaborative Award - for showing brilliant team work when creating your day at school in China videos. You worked together to create your script, visualise your scenes and took turns filming making sure that everyone was included. Well done!

CREATIVE LEARNER Award - for winning our Junior School’s Design challenge, which was to build the longest and the strongest bridge with the use of only popsicle sticks and masking tape. You worked collaboratively by allowing others to have their input, you showed great creativity and determination, as well as demonstrating great team and negotiating skills.
