EA Software Engineering Virtual Experience Program
In this Virtual Experience Program, you’ll experience what life as a Software Engineer at EA would be like. We want you to feel empowered from the beginning with key insights into what lies ahead in your career at EA. You’ll utilize skills like critical thinking and problem solving while working with languages like Python and C++ to re-create and implement a new game along with so much more.
Commonwealth Bank Careers in Tech Program
Learn what a career in technology might look like with one of Australia’s leading financial institutions. Throughout this program, you will experience some of the tasks that people with innovation and technology careers do in their everyday job. By completing these tasks you can see how technology can help businesses in the following ways:
- Design: Discover why it’s important to plan what a website looks like and how people can use it effectively.
- Build: Learn why Software Engineers are critical in bringing a design idea to life.
- Protect: In a world where there are constant threats, Cyber Security experts play a key role in keeping people’s information secure from theft. You can learn how they do this.
- Analyse: Explore how Data Analysts use technology like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to understand masses of information and pull the right data to tell the story to help businesses make decisions and improve projects.
- Automate: Understand how Artificial Intelligence and Robotics can work together to provide 24/7 customer service.
Work Experience with the Parliament of Victoria
Expressions of Interest for work experience placements in terms 1 & 2, 2023 are now open!
Whether you’re interested in politics, planting trees, law-making or baking, your work experience placement at the Parliament of Victoria will be an experience you’ll remember. This is a unique opportunity to undertake a one-week placement in either a Parliamentary Sitting or Parliamentary Services program.
Parliamentary Sitting placements provide the opportunity to see the law-making process up close. Students will go behind the scenes with the staff who directly support Parliament sittings, to get a deeper understanding of our democratic processes.
Parliamentary Services placements offer a variety of opportunities that can be matched with a broad range of student interests and career goals. Students will have the option to work with staff in one of the many professional service areas that support the day-to-day business of Parliament.
To participate, you must be 15 years or older at the time of placement and be a Victorian resident studying at a Victorian secondary school.

Work Experience with Nillumbik Shire Council
Nillumbik is sometimes able to provide opportunities for work experience to students, providing an understanding of local government and exposure to a formal work environment. Expressions of Interest and enquires for Work Experience for year 9/10/11/12 secondary, TAFE, and tertiary students can be made to work.experience@nillumbik.vic.gov.au.
